Here are some photos from our trip to pick up Camp Wood, a 326 lb. iron meteorite from a town of the same name, near San Antonio, Texas. We took our time on the drive back, and found a few more meteorites along the way.

It sat there for some 40 years...
The finders removed ~28 grams from the top edge. That sample was used for analysis and the iron remains as shown.
